Composite Scoring Framework

Each fund's composite score is derived from three independent performance signals, price return, target accuracy, and execution speed, weighted and normalised to reward consistent, repeatable skill over single-trade outliers.

1
Price Return

We capture mark-to-market performance from each pitch's entry date. Gains are capped at +120% so no single outlier can dominate a fund's score. Losses score 0. A bad pitch contributes nothing and does not drag the fund below zero.

Losses score 0. Gains scale linearly from 0 to 100 at the +120% cap.

2
Target Accuracy

Each pitch receives graduated credit based on how close the price gets to the stated target. Partial credit prevents cliff-edge scoring and rewards near-misses:

Target reached 100 pts
Within 10% of target 70 pts
Within 20% of target 40 pts
Outside 20% band 0 pts
3
Composite Score

Three signals are combined into a single score with a volume multiplier that rewards depth of track record without letting pitch count alone determine rank.

Upside capped at +120%. Losses score 0. Prevents a single trade from dominating the score.
Speed Score

slow
Exponential decay: 1d=99.7, 30d=91, 90d=76, 180d=58. Slower hits still earn meaningful credit. Non-hits score 0.
Volume Multiplier
log(1+n)
Deeper track records carry more weight, with diminishing returns to prevent gaming

Mathematical Formula
PitchScore = 0.5×R + 0.3×A + 0.2×S
FundScore = log(1 + n) × avg(PitchScore)
R  Return Score
Gains scale from 0 to 100 pts up to the +120% cap. Losses score 0. They contribute nothing rather than dragging the total below zero. The cap prevents a single outlier pitch from carrying a fund's ranking.
A  Accuracy Score
How close the call landed relative to the stated price target. Full marks (100) for hitting it. Partial credit (70 or 40) for coming within 10% or 20%. Miss by more and it scores 0.
S  Speed Score
How quickly the target was reached after the pitch was submitted. Faster hits score higher. The decay is gradual: 30 days scores 91, 6 months scores 58, 1 year scores 33. Pitches still open score 0.
log(1+n)  Track Record
A multiplier that rewards depth of track record. With 5 pitches it applies a ~1.8x bonus; with 10 pitches ~2.4x. It grows slowly so submitting weak pitches to inflate volume does not help.
