Composite Scoring Framework

Each fund's composite score is derived from two independent performance signals, price return and target accuracy, weighted and normalised to reward consistent, repeatable skill over single-trade outliers.

1
Price Return

We capture realised and mark-to-market performance from each pitch's entry date to its 12-month expiry horizon, settling at the official closing price on expiry date.

Active pitches mark to the latest available market price. Expired pitches lock in at the settlement close.

Raw Return

Capped at Scoring
+25%
-50% 0 +50%
Return exceeds cap -- clamped to +/-50% in scoring
2
Target Accuracy

Each pitch receives graduated credit based on how close the final price lands to the stated target at expiry. Partial credit prevents cliff-edge scoring:

Target reached 100 pts
Within 10% of target 70 pts
Within 20% of target 40 pts
Outside 20% band 0 pts
3
Composite Score

The two signals are combined into a single score with a volume multiplier that rewards depth of track record without letting pitch count alone determine rank.

Signal Weighting
60% Return
40% Accuracy
Return Cap
-50%
+50%
Outlier returns are clamped to prevent a single trade from distorting the aggregate
Volume Multiplier
log(1+n)
Deeper track records carry more weight, with diminishing returns to prevent gaming
4
Mathematical Formula
Score = log(1 + n) x ( 0.6 x clamp(avgReturn, -50, +50) + 0.4 x avgAccuracy )
n
Total number of pitches submitted by the fund. More pitches increase the log multiplier.
avgReturn
Mean price return across all pitches, clamped to the -50% to +50% range before averaging.
avgAccuracy
Mean accuracy score (0-100 pts) across all pitches using the four-tier graduated system.
log(1+n)
Logarithmic volume multiplier. Grows with pitch count but with diminishing returns, preventing gaming through high pitch volume.
